Do I need to book and appointment?
It is advisable to book an appointment before coming in to see us if you would like to try on our wedding dresses. It is best to telephone us at our showroom on 04 472 4717 to speak with us to book an appointment.
Does it cost anything to try on wedding dresses?
Yes, we charge a $50.00 (New Zealand dollars) 1-hour consultation fee to try on our wedding dresses.
Can I try on more than a few wedding gowns?
During a 1-hour consultation, the service we provide is based on quality rather than quantity and we find that on average, most brides try on around 6 wedding dresses.
To find out whether your dress has arrived, it is often better for you to telephone us at our showroom on 04 472 4717. If you not in a hurry to find out, please email us and we will get back to you within 2 working days.
Can I come back in to retry on the dresses I liked last time?
Yes, that is fine, however please telephone our showroom on 04 472 4717 to arrange a time for this.
How much does it cost to hire or buy bridesmaid dresses?
We have a large selection of bridesmaids dresses to hire or buy. The typical price to hire a bridesmaid gown is $180.00, and to buy, the typical price is $350.00 (New Zealand dollars).
My wedding is in 6-months. Is it too early to start looking for my wedding dress now?
No, it is not too early to start looking for your wedding dress now. Some brides-to-be start looking for, and purchase their wedding gown 1-year away from their wedding date. This is not always necessary, but can be a good idea to allow you plenty of time if you need to order your gown, have alterations made, and to choose accessories.
If I need to order my wedding gown from a sample, how long will it take to arrive?
The lead time on wedding dress orders is 3-4 months depending on designer / supplier.
Can I pay my dress off in installments?
Yes, we can arrange reasonable payment methods to suit your needs.
Can I buy a wedding dress online from your web site without visiting your showroom?
Yes. We have already successfully sold wedding dresses online, via our web site, by email, and over the phone. During this process we establish a dialogue with you to ensure that you end up with a dream gown that is exactly what you want. Please supply as much information, i.e., height, waist, bust and hip measurements, and phone number, when you contact us regarding purchasing online.
Do you have wedding dresses for hire and if so, at what price range?
Yes, we have wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses for hire. Wedding dress hire prices range from approx. $650.00 to $1700.00 and we hire bridesmaid dresses for $185 (New Zealand dollars).
Do you hire suits for the groom and groomsman?
Our partner business MAJOR TOMMS Suit Hire has a full range of suits and accessories for the groom and groomsman. These can be viewed on our MAJOR TOMMS Suit Hire web site.
Is it OK to take photographs of some of the wedding gowns?
No. We kindly ask for no photographs to be taken of the wedding dresses in our showroom.
