Brides on Thorndon - Since 1999

“Bridal wear is what we do best and with pleasure. We do our utmost to ensure the best quality, value and service for our brides, and make certain our brides dresses are matched perfectly for their special day”.

Brides on Thorndon was started in 1999, originally located at street-level at 219 Thorndon Quay, by the current owner and operator Jillian.

In early 2003, Jill moved Brides on Thorndon across the road, off street-level, to Level One, 220 Thorndon Quay, to a more spacious and elegant show room.

Brides on Thorndon now have a team of five: Jillian, Haley, Stacey, Connie and Helen.

Haley joined our team in February 2006 during her Fashion Design and Business Studies at Massey University. With great enthusiasm and constant dedication, Haley now works for Brides on Thorndon full time as General Manager where she uses her excellent interpersonal and organisational skills in all aspects of our bridal business.

With her positive attitude and bubbly smile, Connie also joined Brides on Thorndon in February 2006. Excelling in customer service, Connie's warm nature puts brides at ease making sure each bride gets exactly what she is looking for during the consultation process.

Stacey joined the team as a highly skilled sewing machinist in November 2006, with an excellent understanding of garment structure and customer needs, performing alterations from customer fittings to completion. Stacey is a an extremely valuable member of our team.
